The Tamaqua School District Surveillance Camera System Project consists of multiple 32 camera DVR systems.http://www.nesecurity1.com/content/tamaqua-area-school-district-0  CCTV cameras are placed through out the buildings to ensure a safe learning environment and to protect school district property. Infra-red cameras are used in the low light areas to capture images in key problem areas. Rather than just replace the cameras that were installed in less than optimal positions, by a very well know competitor, we ran all new wires to optimize the views.. This system was a complete redo absolutely nothing was worth keeping from the 5 year old system. With the old system the students were brazen enough to act out in front of the cameras knowing they would never be identified. It didn't take londg for them to figure out how well the new system performs. Ken Dunkleberger allowed us to configure the video servers on the network to provide password protected remote viewing on the local area network for all adminstrators 24/7. Monitors have also be placed in designated areas around the building to allow continuous viewing.
